The international proof of qualification - the kiteboarding licence
You get a personal kiteboarding licence from your instructor. This card (with its specific licence number) aims to be your permanent companion and, by this, illustrates your VDWS kite-apprenticeship for the rental of equipment and vis-à-vis local authorities.
Your instructor will grade your riding skills between level 1 and level 7. In addition you will have to pass a theory test to proof that you are aware of safety and rules.
